You can request your child's file from school under the
data protection act 1998 - they have 40 days to comply with this request -
enclose £10.00 for administrations.
You'll be surprised the sort of things they write in there.

| Strictly speaking, as you are requesting the files on behalf of your child, who has no income, there should not be an administration charge. Some authorities still try it though. |

They did the decent thing and returned our payment so they complied with that aspect of things.
