it's all happening to me this week had the eldest (who is 5) to the dr's this morning and he's got chickenpox, so ive now got the 1 yr old caughing and spluttering and the other saying i'm itchy and sore so i need to get some pure apple juice (to hide his disprol in) and try to bribe him into me putting camomile lotion on but i don't think he will, he has a bit of a phobia about medicines

Ahhhhh hope they are both feeling better soon. Bicarb in bathwater takes the 'itch' out as well.   Pam

Oh no poor little mite.

If he's itchy enough and Mum tells him that it will help you never know he may let you put the lotion on. Trouble is that it's always so cold so you may not get very far.

Luckily it's usually a mild disease so he should be feeling better in himself in a few days, it's just those itchy spots that seem to last forever when your trying not to scratch.

I hope things settle down in a few days and you can have some rest from all the stress and worry. xx

Poor little mite, thats itchy, good old fashioned Calomine lotion is good for the itching, hope he lets you use it on him.

thanks everyone, i'm gonna get some bicarb tomorrow, and thankfully he has gone to bed tonight ok and i think he might just have it mild
