I know I sound a miserable old sod but these days I'm not a great lover of Bonfire Night and all the other nights afterwards when it's hard getting to sleep because of the fireworks going off at all hours.

Halloween is not a time of year that is special to me in any way.

I think it's because mine are now older and we've done all the firework night displays and fireworks in the garden thing.

Halloween was never celebrated when I was kid and neither was it when mine were younger.

Or maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy.

Keep on getting old and grumpy because you have made me laugh.

I love fireworks - not so keen on Halloween and do not like to have fireworks at all hours but love the early evening ones and displays.

Have been out all day today - life is just so busy.

Was creeping about outside Mum's house tonight - isn't it weird - dark to me = late - the time just past 6pm

I think things are different if you either do not have children or if your children are grown up. I am just having a second childhood

I'm a bit ahead of myself too because it's only 4th November and the fireworks are going off like crazy here tonight.

I used to love them too but I think we've done it so many times now, got the T-shirt etc.

I can just see you creeping around in the dark, that made me laugh.
