Don't be fooled. I have just been shouted at, talked to and cajoled by a weimaraner who wants HIS place on MY sofa.

It is a dogs life - honestly

This picture was not taken today - but it is the norm for this sofa. Not much room for the humans.

I think you spoil your friends Speeds

They do look so cute, how could you disturb them though

Barbsy maybe the antibiotics have made Jon "off" today. They can have that effect as I've found out to my cost on many occasions.

I hope Jon's settled down now and giving you some chill out time.

Spoil understatement.

Belle went to the vets today as she had a sore ear. Thomas and I took her at 8am and left her. She had to have an anaesthetic so that they cold have a good look see. She had a lump removed too and her teeth looked at and claws clipped. It has cost me £585. Worse thing is they want to sedate her on Thursday and Monday so tha will be another £200 a time

Anyway - why am I writing this - here's hoping Jon is OK with his antibiotics and will be back to his normal self soon.

Thomas was very distraught today too as I had to collect Belle early as she was shouting and barking too loud at the vets. He was pacified because I told him Belle was at home.

Get well soon Jon. and Barb - hope that tomorrow is a better day.

thankyou both for asking about jon. antibiotics havent done much for his behaviour, but there again its not that unusual that he has these 'moments' its also a big change going back to school and stuff. speeds of course you should be writing stuff, this is about you and your family thats what this site is all about, its worrying for you about the dogs and this is a place to come vent about whatever you want to, we are all here to listen thats the whole point of it.

i hope everyone has a nice evening whatever your up to, ive just put jon to bed and hoping he will settle down otherwise i think i may just have a walk to the bottom of the garden and have good yell....arghh....lol

nite nite, barbs

The 4X4s are too high for a wheelchair user who is indepent to easily transfer in and out of. Hence why we looked at the Subaru as it has a higher ground clearance.

Trouble is - with two huge dogs and a wheelchair and an electric wheelchair there is often very little room for the driver - let alone the passengers

I'm not sure what other car fits the bill really. I'm not well up on off road type cars.
Would something like a 4 x 4 estate car be any use?
something like:

Other than that I'd be at a bit of a loss.

Good luck hunting down what you need

Our friends do cost us but they are worth every penny because they love us unconditionally and they are a big part of our family. They bring us so much happiness.

We are at the vets almost every week at the moment with one of our cats as she is very ill. She's had a good long life but we are still sad that she will soon be leaving us.

Treasure your friends because they deserve it.

Barbsy is right, that's what this forum is for, sharing the good and the not so good. It's great to be able to bounce things around and get ideas to help with our kids.

I hope Jon settled in bed OK Barbs and that you managed some quiet time for yourself.

Good night all.

It's lovely here so I'm busy with washing today. Hope you all have a good day.
