That sounds great.
We don't seem to have anything like that here although a new initiative has recently started and we had a couple of skating sessions during the summer hols.
The other things that were on offer didn't interest my son so we didn't do those.
We do have a disabled child register and a directory with useful contacts in.
There is a carers centre in Liverpool but again I've never used that either, just too far away during the week. (about an hour away).
I think for us my son is too old now for most of what's on offer including the playschemes during holidays.
Most things seem to be provided by school and my son is usually exhausted at the end of the school day. It's a private school (LEA funded though) so they do lots of stuff that most schools wouldn't dream of, such as the trip to Birmingham to see Gomez in concert.
I hope Thomas enjoys the footy.
I'd be interested to hear what's on offer for others in different parts of the country. |

Absolutely fantastic.
2 coaches, 1 disability liason coach, 10 kids and a whole load of fun. The only down side - 30mins is not long enough. _________________ Karen, Dominic, Thomas, Zola and Belle

Sounds like a blast even if it was only 30 mins
Glad it all went well.

Theres nothing like that here either. I had nothing over the summer. I have a meeting wearing my parent partnership hat on Wednesday. No wonder you can't get hold of anyone in charge of anything in our town, they are all always in pointless meetings. I've been banging my head against a brick wall for 11 years now, bringing up the same problems. I'd love to be on the money head of SS is on. She only works 3 days a week too!! _________________ Welcome to my nightmare! |
