OK last ramble for the day before I must do some work.
We decided not to put in disabled or toilets adapted for the disabled in our home or holiday home. We therefore use a mobile fully propelled shower chair which one transfers on to. This means it can be used in either bathroom and can be used by all types of disabilities as their can be access from either side and then move in to place and also the foot plates can be highered or lowered. It also means that dignity can be maintained as for some it is just the action of getting on to a loo that is difficult so they can do this and then lock themselves in the loo and manouver in to place.
Anyway - hope this is useful.

Thanks for that Speeds.
Sounds like the best option to maintain privacy for the user and obviously to enable more independence too. |
