Hello everyone. Sunday afternoon and we have been cleaning and paying bills.

Marion - Sophie is a delight. I have told everyone I have met about her (and you too).

I am sorry that you still feel down but understandably so. Things are still not sorted and while there are things hanging over your head it is hard to relax and enjoy life. But, hopefully most will be sorted out soon. Keep pushing for a place at the SN school earlier than September. And, even if change will or may cause havoc, if that is what you think is best for Sophie - then go for it.

I hope Sophie can go to school tomorrow - for her - she obviously is so keen to learn - and for you, to have a break in the day and for the school - so they can see what a darling they had missing from class last week.

Barbs - I hope that you have ahd and are having a super week end with your daughter. You have picked a fine weekend (well here is has been cold but sunny all the time so hope it is the same for you) for the visit.

Pixie - Wed nesday will not come soon enough and the nerves I can understand but we are all routing for you.

Everyone else - I hope you are all having a good weekend and day today.

Good morning all, on a foggy day
At 11 we have the OT to play
They are coming to see Thomas at his work
I'm hoping that our time its worth

So how are you all, fairing well?
I hope you have not had to yell
Like me who scream obscenities
At the dogs who did not please

They rummaged down the rubbish sack
In the five mins while I turned my back
So strewn across the kitchen floor
Was loads of wrappers (and lots of gore!)

That's tidy now, so here I am
Checking mail, deleting spam
And then a phone call I must make
To the Cancer Resouce Centre, for my Auntie's sake
And find a reflexology peep
Who perhaps can help my uncle keep

Feeling OK instead of suffering
The pain of chemo and the worrying
So off I'll go and with a loud call
Wish a Merry Day to one and all

Not to mention the OT for Thomas and the mess your lovely dogs made with the rubbish.

I'm glad you got through yesterday Speeds and have a quieter day today (here's hoping anyway).

Lots to do today with shopping and putting together my daughters furniture that's been delivered as well as cleaning up the house.

good morning everybody. hoping everyone is well and coping with whatever the day brings. isnt it your meeting tomorrow pixie, i do hope it goes well for you. my daughter has a hospital check up so im leaving to collect her soon, then little man will be home from school he has his carer coming to play for a couple of hours.the house looks like a tip at the moment hopefully i will catch up with it over the next couple of days.

Just clean the loo, the room you will be in and the kitchen and shut the doors onthe rest - that is what I do anyway

Don't work too hard - they are coming to talk about your son not your decor - but I do agree that having everything spick and span and smelling of roses does give you the edge

I am off to lunch soon with two mums. Was working earlier but that has fallen by the way

That's it exactly Speeds, that's all I am doing. We are decorating anyway so all the other room doors will be shut because they are all such a mess. LOL

The whole house needs cleaning but I won't be doing it for them. I beleive in having a house the kids can live in without fear of messing it up. They are good kids so they aren't too messy anyway.

It's me and all these charity stamps that make the mess. LOL

It's horrible out there today with lots of wind and rain. It's also very dark.

The meeting went better than expected and I'll post about it later when I might feel more with it. It's surprising how much it takes out of you with all the stress.

Sad news though - my uncle is not likely to survive past today - my mum was called this morning by my Auntie.

Nothing ever prepares you for losing someone so special.

Scary thought that my brother and I are the oldest people left on that side of the family.

Today has been easier. I still cry when I think of him - well that I will never see him again - life is so cruel even when you know that someone is so poorly you still think they are invincible.

I am off on Sat with my Mum to my Aunt's to see the vicar to arrange the funeral.

We are off to Cornwall but have had our plans changed slightly due to the funeral.

Thomas will have to miss a party which is sad as we must be in Cornwall for 5 days and then back for the funeral on 21 Feb.

Thomas also has an inset day on 25 Feb

jon breaks up next wednesday for a week and a half, but he is at home at the moment anyway with a torn muscle in his back, painful, but its not stopping him from being mouthy to me !!

ive made some plans for the half term so hope he will be ok, we have a day in diggerland, a bowling with lunch outing and a playscheme day booked, but it depends how he is.

Hello everyone - OK posting in morning and not evening

I am fine thank you Pixie and I hope everyone else is too.

I just seem to have 6 trillion things to do at the moment - and with Thomas off school there is a lot less time on the PC.

Anyway, Cornwall was great, funeral was fantastic as such events can be - the service was great and everything went to plan. I sobbed my way through the whole lot but then that is me

My brother was over on Fri from Hong Kong (and went back Friday night), Sat Thomas had swiming and a party. Sunday was spent relaxing and Daddy going to football only to come home very sad as Chelsea lost. Today has been manic - Inset day - off to garden centre with Mum and then football for Thomas

Back to normality tomorrow then for the rest of Feb/March I am working which will be great - I am actually really looking forward to it.

Weather has changed to wind and rain
Last week it was sunny, especially south west
You could almost go walking just in a vest

In Cornwall they shut the water off, what a cheek

Nothing sinister, they are laying new pipes
But the disruption it cause was quite a sight
Roads were closed and water was rationed
To see us all you'd think it was going out of fashion

It's always a little warmer in Cornwall and I only saw it snow a couple of times in the 10 years I lived down there.

Are writing mornings to everyone
To make sure all are having fun

The earth did tremble up in the north
But here in Crowthorne, no tremble came forth
Or at least no one here has said a word
If they felt it here I have not heard

I hope no damage came to you
But what worries me is how so few
Earthquakes were had here long before
But in recent years we've had more and more (see other post)

We take so much out from the earth
So I suppose we are shrinking its girth
So like when we wriggle to adjust our pants
The earth does the same, but it makes us rant

Coz buildings fall and lives are lost
But man is doing this, at what cost
Damaging our earth without a care
Me included, its not very fair

So when the earth does rumble around
I think we'll find that we've moved the ground
By what we've taken from below
And not put back probably, hey ho

So morning all again I say
I hope you're having a pleasant day
For me the task of sorting out work
From earning pennies I've stopped the shirk

And also sorting out the drains
A man came along to keep me sane
We had a bit of a blocky one
He's cleared it now, water freely runs

And just come back from a lovely walk
In the sunny woods, where no one talks
But just the sound of carefree song
From the birds flying and nesting, and having fun
