Foetal Alcohol SyndromeHi
My husband and I have recently found out that our adopted daughter has FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome). So little seems to be know about FAS in the UK, yet it is a major problem.
With the help of the FASD Trust we are currently trying to raise awareness in our area (Cornwall), where there is very little support and no-one, including the health professionals, seems to have heard of FAS.

Hi Myra,
Thanks for your reply. My daughter is lovely (ok, I'm biased!) and very placid but her brother (does not live with us) is the complete opposite. Some children are affected worse than others.

How lucky you are to have a lovely daughter and one who is placid - I do know that some children with this can be extremelly difficult to care for initially. Have a wonderful life Pam
