I know I am mad but...........Izzy, a 10 month old weimy (like my two woofs) is coming to stay for a while with Thomas and my two weimys.
Her owners Dad died suddenly and with all the issues (she normally lives in Belgium) and the Mother being allergic to and scared of dogs the poor pup is staying in the boot of the car which is no place for a pup.
Thomas will be over the moon - he loves having doggy guests to stay. Dom I think is working out divorce proceedings but even he will fall in love with her.
My reason for posting - is this........I do not know Sian - the dog's owner. She and I have met purely like I have met you guys on here - on our Weim forum. Friday, I went to see Joseph with 3 people who have weims whom I met on the weim forum. - the internet is a wonderful place to meet new friends - however far away they may live.

Speeds you are mad!!
But what a lovely thing to do to help.
I hope you all fall in love with Izzy and make her feel at home even if it is a temporary arrangement.
I agree you do meet some lovely people on the net. xx

Thank you Pixie - yes I did get a quadruple dose of the mad gene when I was made but hey - if you cannot help out occassionally if you can then I think the world would be a very very sad place.
Izzy has arrived and Zola is in mad flirt. The pair are playing for England at the mo. Thomas is in love and adores her already. He loves having doggy houseguests.
I am going to try and take some photies so you can see her, especially as she is a Long Haired Wemaraner and there are not many of those about.

She sounds lovely Speeds, can't wait to see a photo if and when you get time to put one on.
I think most people have forgotten how things used to be helping each other when they need a hand.
It's such a shame but as long as there are still people like you that's enough to make me smile.

Not a fab photo or two but quickly taken while I was on the phone.
Dogs are not really allowed upstairs let alone on the bed but she seems to have made herself at home!!

She's beautiful Speeds. I bet you will spoil her rotten.
Will you keep her or will she have a new home to go to in the near future?
It will be hard to say goodbye as she's so gorgeous.
Thanks for letting us see her.

She is ickle compared to my two - I will try and get a photo of the three together.
She is going back t her owners in Belgium in a week or two so I am just like a kennels for her. Weimaraners do not kennel very well - they love humans too much !!
I guess my first post was a bit garbled and incoherent. Her owners are keeping her - it is her owners who are dealing with a death in the immediate family and due to the distance plus other things Izzy was having a hard time - hence her owners wanted to have her looked after instead of being neglected by them as they were so busy. All (except for the sadness of my forum friend losing her father) will be back to normal in a week or so.

Yes and No. I know she is just a guest and I often have peoples doggies for a day or so.
And having just told Zola and her off for the nth time for barking at passers by (they are egging each other on) I can see that one week will be sufficient for me to want peace back
