First DayHiya everyone, this is my first day on the site as only registered yesterday. It's good to find a sight for carers.I have been carer for my daughter since she was 17yrs and had an illness which disabled her. She is 33 this year - got engaged last year and hopes to marry in 2009. Sooooooo my 'caring days will be over apart from when she visits. Will look forward to getting to know you all.  Pam

None of mine have got married yet so not much in the way of advice from me I'm afraid. It all sounds so daunting and expensive. | ||

 Tell me about it!! I reckon it's going to cost thousands as she wants the works - don't blame her though she's had a rough ride so I reckon she deserves it. We hope to go and look at the flat soon which is being made accessible. Hope its not going to take much longer as the loft is sagging with the 'bottom drawer stuff!  Pam

Re - boarding the loft i'm hoping hubby to be is going to take some back with him when he comes over for easter Mind you he'll want a van!!

Yes that is my little man and one of his best friends - Zola. Thank you for your kind comments - he is kinda cute when he is like that  - just not so cute when he is being a monster

Thomas is now 7 (was probably nearly 7 in that photo) and Zola the dog is 5. We had Zola as a 7 week pup not long after Thomas was 2 so they have grown up together. We have another weimaraner too called Belle who is nearly 10 years old and came to us as a rescue 4 years ago. | ||

Ahhhh so around the age of my look a like nephew then. We don't have a dog now but have a cat named flash who really is quite a boring cat He has never really played like cats do and just wants to be fed and allowed to sleep. Definately not a 'knee cat' I reckon he thinks he is human!!
Both my brothers have dogs, one a Labrador (a gun dog) and the other has a Staffie who is now very old. We just stick to the cats now but when daughters gone I have said No more to cats as well. I do like dogs though. Pam |

Hi Pixie, We have 'son-in-law-to-be' here at the moment for just over a week. It seems the flat now wont be ready until Maybe May for him to move in so no wedding plans for the near future. He's hoping to have a working dog which daughter
ps he bought me a pair of pink marigolds with fur round the cuff on them it sais 'best mum' ahhhhhhhh |
