im here. just got back from the little uns sports day..all was well and then there was a race which you had to hold a wet sponge or a bottle of water which leaked at the bottom to see what was left at the end, he hates getting wet on his clothes....there ended a happy sports day!!!

jons got sports day this morning at his other school, he does two days at mainstream and three days at special.

we are supposed to be going to the school fete and then a bbq in the evening

did the school fete, thankfully he won a prize,make your own volcano set, omg i dont think so!!!
went to a bbq saturday night, plate in one hand, brolly in the other.

I just bought an umbrella from a website in the Netherlands so that I can send it to a chap in the US!!!! I must be losing the plot.

On the whole I would have preferred a trip to a Fire Station

im going at 12.30, last week i had two injections just for a filling and neither of them took properly so i have to go later and try again, not looking forward to it one bit
oh well gonna put on the washing and clear up before i brave the dental chair, hope you all have a good day

it was only for a filling which i was meant to have last week but i the anaesthetic didnt work so he tried yesterday with a different one and it didnt work again, it was absolutely awful. i have to back next week again and im really nervous now. living on panadols today.

I hate going to the dentist, even though she's a nice lady, I just can't stand it and end up very stressed for days beforehand.

Just out of interest, is it a male dentist?
I was petrified of dentists, but now will only see lady dentists (that seems to help)
Also, initially, I used a walkman when I was in the chair - I'd play music really loud in the headphones, that meant I couldnt hear the drilling noise and it took my mind off things.
If its any consolation, Dentists hate going to the Dentist too

lol....actually my dentist said he was pretty scared working on me as much as i was having him working on me !! and oh yes he is definately a man, he is nice though been going there for over twenty years now. he plays dreadful music though!!

It sounds like you get on ok which is good.
I think the secret is to keep attending i.e. dont stop going whatever.

just saying goodmorning, although i think im in for a difficult day with the little un. my daughters home from residential over the weekend and yesterday i managed them both at the cinema, it was good. then we went over to my mums where it thought they were playing in the spare room nicely, was a bit TOO quiet so i went up to check, clothes all over the place drawers open, needless to say my mum wasnt too happy. this morning he ultra hypo and all over the place, just put something on the tv for them so should be ok for a bit now. phew im shattered and the days only just started.

nice weather for washing, gardening, cleaning the car, shopping, ironing,
walking the dog (i havent got one)
such a lovely day, and i end up having an eye test and spending a flippin fortune, now ive come home and wished i had chosen something cheaper.

i dont collect them for a couple of weeks so im managing with the old ones still.
tomorrow jons been invited to the london taxi drivers day out, they take all the children in their decorated cabs to the seaside, have lunch out, go on all the rides at the theme park, and dance the night away at the disco. have to be by 5 in the morning. he is so exicted.

jons words....mum this is the coolest day out ever !
100 black taxis decorated with balloon, police escort all thru red lights all the way to the seaside.free wrists band for the them park.lunch out.money to spend for every child.tea and a disco.on the ride home in the taxi you stop at the fire station where they hose all the taxis down to clean them!!
this was the most amazing day and i have never seen to many smiley faces and well behaved children.

They do that here too and it's wonderful to see all the kids have a great day out.
Strangely enough when my daughter went to school in Liverpool they all came over in the taxi's to our town to go to the fair here.

my day was so good, a wonderful trip to the zoo with the local asd support mums and kids. everything was great, good kids, good animals !!
jon wouldnt let his friend see his new toy so when he asked if he could see his friends new book, the friend said no, and jon whacked him in the face.
he apologised eventually, and when we got home i told him to phone and make sure his friend was ok, but jon wouldnt stop crying so i told his friends mum, who is a good friend also, i would call her back, i havent because i feel so bad and worried that maybe the kids wont be pals now.
arghh....the perfect ending to a perfect day!!
do i phone again tomorrow, do i e mail, i dont know what to do now.
barb.....who needs help right now.

A bit of a day for you all by the sound of it.
Maybe a call tomorrow to see how Jon's friend is and see how things sound with your friend and her son.
I think we always worry as parents about our kids having friends but I wouldn't be surprised if it's alll forgotten very soon by the boys.
It's just us parents that carry on feeling bad about things.
I know that's not much help but mine have never had any friends so I wouldn't really know how to deal with it. (Daughter has one friend now, son is still working on it )
Let us know how it goes Barbsy.

my kids have never really had friends or anyone to go out and about with, this other boy is at jons school and his mum and i are both widowed and get on quite well and what with the kids disabilities etc., we have alot in common and it would be such a shame if this spoils things, her son and mine had such a good time running around together yesterday, it was so nice for once to see jon with someone else instead of being glued to my side. i will call them today and hopefully all will be well, i was up half the night worrying. oh whoever invented kids eh !

the first rain free day today
an uneventful day really, picked up some new glasses and have to go back tomorrow because im having trouble with them. my son finished special school today and now just has two mainstream days then he breaks up for the summer which im looking forward to, no routines...wonderful.....no getting up too early......no homework or refusal to do it for six glorious weeks......well i hope we will have six glorious weeks, heres hoping eh !!

hello all, hope your hiccups have gone by now rabid !!! pixie, hows the cat getting on i hope shes ok, i always say she, but perhaps its a he.
took the kids to see harry potter, they both sat so nicely and quietly in there, i didnt understand all of it but i tried my best !!! guess its my age, i do like nice easy going films that dont take much working out
well its time for me to take my daughter back to the care home now, i really dont want to, i love having her home, but its also sad cos it makes me want to be a proper family again.
oh well better get her sorted now.
hope you have all had a good weekend, and now for the six week summer break from school, lots of rain to come too i heard.

The cat is doing really well. She's back to eating like a horse and meowing lots.
Off to the vets again on Wednesday just to check her over.
Hope all went well taking your daughter back and you are not too sad.
I won't go and see HP because the last one I saw gave me nightmares. I'll let hubby take the youngster and I'll have a break instead.

good to hear the cats doing well i kow how worried you must have been.
i was sad taking her back, its horrible, you would think after 4 years i would be used to it, but i dont think it will ever be easy, the kids had a really good weekend together.
thinking about going to legoland tomorrow but will see how the weathers looking first. im shattered before i go and the holidays just begun!
just had my new furniture delivered and hoping it wont be used as a trampoline this time !

I used to live out the back of Lego Land when it became Windsor Safari Park.

we decided not to go cos of the weather, went to see firehouse dog at the cinema, a really lovely easy going film and we were the only two people there!!! definately hoping to go once the sun stays shining. hope your enjoying the holidays.
